Donald Trump ‘falls asleep’ at desk as face ‘droops’ in front of kids during fitness speech

Donald Trump appeared to doze off during a signing ceremony in the Oval Office while surrounded by children, with viewers expressing concern for the US President

Donald Trump appeared to nod off during a White House event while surrounded by a group of youngsters. Alarmed onlookers expressed concerns after the US President seemingly shut his eyes during a high-profile signing ceremony in the Oval Office.

The low energy moment occurred as the Orange Manbaby expressed gratitude to Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. But as RFK Jr. discussed how “grateful” he was for Trump’s decision to restore a national fitness test, viewers claimed the Commander-in-Chief had drifted off into dreamland.

Social media erupted as the footage beamed across TV screens, with critics quick to stick the boot in.

One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote: “You have got to be kidding me. Trump falls asleep while his guest brags about the President having mental fitness. His face is literally drooping and he is about to drool on his desk. The SNL sketches write themselves.”

The internet was flooded with comments as the clip went viral, with one person saying: “He is beyond gone.”

Another posted: “Stay up all night rage posting and you fall asleep during the day.”

Others were less amused by the Oval Office nap, with one writing: “Can’t believe he is sleeping,” while a fourth said: “This is getting beyond ridiculous and disgraceful!!”

The televised gaffe comes at an awkward time for the President, occurring just 24 hours after he bragged about his “perfect” brain power.

Speaking on Monday at the White House Small Business Summit, Trump claimed he had “aced” the Montreal Cognitive Assessment three times.

He boasted that a doctor told him it was the first time they had ever witnessed a perfect score.

Discussing the test, Trump said: “The first question is very easy. You have a lion, a bear, an alligator, and a, what’s another good..? A squirrel. Which is the squirrel?”

He then insisted the test isn’t as easy as it looks, adding: “By the time you get to the middle, they’re very tough.”
